On the 17th May 2018 the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) lead by Mr Sekoala held a workshop at Soofia International School (SIS). MOET is working towards adding Advanced Subsidiary Level (and Advanced Level (AS/A Level) into the national curriculum. MOET identified Soofia as a pioneer school which has offered AS/A Level since 2014 hence why the workshop was held here.

MOET was joined by representatives from six school being Botha Bothe High School, Khethisa High School, Methodist High School, Ntaote High School ,St James High School Mokhotlong and St Stephens High School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On behalf of Soofia International School, the Principal Mr. Vijayakumar, the Deputy Principal and AS/A Level overseer Mr. Musa, the Head of Department of Science and Technology Mr. Adeosun and the Head of Department of Humanities Mr. Mabaso made presentations about the journey in offering AS/A Level. Their presentations included explaining what is AS/A level, how it is offered, the challenges they faced in the past three years.
