Soofia International School, in proud collaboration with the Lesotho Cricket Association, hosted a transformative Women’s Empowerment Event dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and empowering our female staff.
Under the theme “Resilient, Empowered, Unstoppable: Championing Women in Mind, Body, and Spirit,” the event brought together women from diverse backgrounds for a meaningful experience of learning, reflection, connection, and celebration.
The event was designed to create a supportive space where women could engage in conversations and activities that contribute to their personal wellbeing, professional growth, and overall empowerment.

Empowering Women Through Knowledge
The programme featured a series of insightful sessions addressing important areas of women’s lives.
Advocate Lineo Tsikoane Badia led an engaging session on women’s legal rights, providing valuable knowledge and encouraging participants to understand and advocate for their rights.
The female health session, facilitated by Ms. Mafupu Matela, focused on important aspects of women’s health and wellbeing, encouraging participants to prioritize their physical and personal health.
Participants also gained valuable insights into financial stability and financial empowerment through a session led by Ms. ‘Matokelo Seturumane. The discussion highlighted the importance of financial awareness, planning, and building greater financial independence.

Building Connections Through Cricket
Beyond the thought-provoking discussions, the event also provided an opportunity for participants to connect through Criiio Cricket.
Through this inclusive and accessible form of cricket, participants experienced the power of sport to bring people together, encourage teamwork, build confidence, and create lasting connections. The activity was filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and collaboration, demonstrating that sport can be an effective tool for promoting unity and empowerment.
Celebrating Women at Soofia
At Soofia International School, we recognize that empowering our staff is an essential part of building a strong, supportive, and thriving school community. Creating opportunities for women to learn, connect, develop confidence, and prioritize their wellbeing reflects our commitment to the holistic development of our entire school community.

The Women’s Empowerment Event was more than a day of activities—it was a celebration of resilience, strength, knowledge, wellbeing, and sisterhood.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Lesotho Cricket Association and all the facilitators who contributed their expertise, time, and energy to making the event meaningful and memorable.
Together, we continue to champion women who are resilient, empowered, and unstoppable.
