Soofia International School was honoured to welcome Zandile Winile Sakoane from the Maleah Foundation for an engaging and informative session with our female students on menstrual health and well-being.
The interactive session provided a safe and supportive space for learners to ask questions, share experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of menstruation. Through open and age-appropriate discussions, students were encouraged to develop a positive and informed attitude towards menstrual health while gaining practical knowledge to support their well-being.

Menstrual health education plays an important role in empowering young girls. By providing accurate information and creating spaces where menstruation can be discussed openly and without shame, we help learners build confidence, make informed choices, and feel supported throughout their development.
The session also highlighted the importance of breaking the stigma and misconceptions surrounding menstruation and promoting a culture of understanding, dignity, and support within our school community.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Zandile Winile Sakoane and the Maleah Foundation for taking the time to engage with our learners and contribute to their education and empowerment.
At Soofia International School, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. We remain committed to nurturing confident, informed, and empowered young women who are equipped to thrive in all aspects of life.
