Soofia International School recently hosted a highly impactful Career Guidance Day, welcoming esteemed representatives from North-West University and the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS). The event provided our senior students with a wealth of information and practical guidance to help them make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
The North-West University team offered detailed insights into a wide range of undergraduate programmes, university admission requirements, and student life in South Africa. Their presentations opened our learners’ eyes to international study opportunities and highlighted the importance of choosing a career path aligned with one’s strengths and passions.
The NMDS team delivered an equally valuable session, focusing on local higher education funding and scholarship opportunities. Students gained a clearer understanding of the application process, eligibility criteria, and the types of programmes supported by NMDS — all of which are essential for those planning to study at tertiary institutions in Lesotho and beyond.
