Soofia International basketball team travelled to Maseru for the 2023 edition of High School Basket-ball League (HSBL) concluding matches at Moshoeshoe 2 High School; indoor basketball court on Sunday the 17th of March 2024.

The tournament which is popularly known as Top 8 consisted of 8 schools from different zones coming together for the national finals. Soofia boys’ team did not disappoint as they became triumphant earning the Championship trophy and gold medals. This came after an exciting game with Machabeng College, where Soofia proceeded on to the finals.

The final was between Sefika High School and Soofia and the latter won 40: 5. The school’s girls’ team conceded the gold to Machabeng girls, thereby coming home with silver medals. The Most Valuable Player’s trophy for boys was swept away by our very own; Ts’epo Lekhanya.

If this has not been a testament of how Soofia works hard, and plays as much, then there is nothing else that will. Our learners keep making us proud, a true picture of a well balanced learner.
