Grade 6 Learners Explore the Science of Sound Through Hands-On Discovery
At Soofia International School, our Grade 6 learners recently brought Science to life as they explored the fascinating world of sound and waves through practical, hands-on investigations.
Using drums, guitars, violins, and other sound sources, learners observed vibrations firsthand and discovered how sound is produced and travels through a medium before reaching the ear. By experimenting with different instruments and making careful observations, they gained a deeper understanding of how vibrations create the sounds we hear every day.

This practical lesson reflects the Cambridge approach to learning, where curiosity, investigation, and experimentation help learners develop a meaningful understanding of scientific concepts. Rather than simply learning about sound from a textbook, our learners experienced the science behind it through exploration and discovery.
At Soofia International School, we believe that the most powerful learning happens when learners ask questions, investigate ideas, and experience concepts for themselves—building confidence, curiosity, and skills that last a lifetime.
Curiosity. Investigation. Discovery.
