Soofia International School was honoured to host representatives from the University of Pretoria for an insightful and engaging university information session designed to guide and inspire learners as they prepare for their future academic and career journeys.
The session brought together LGCSE learners from Likileng International School, alongside Soofia International School’s AS/A Level and LASC learners, creating an enriching opportunity for students from different academic backgrounds to learn, connect, and explore their options for higher education.
During the session, learners gained valuable insights into the University of Pretoria’s study opportunities, admission requirements and processes, career pathways, and available financing options. The discussions provided practical guidance to help students better understand the steps involved in pursuing university education and making informed decisions about their future.
Beyond providing information, the session encouraged learners to think ambitiously about their potential and the opportunities available to them beyond secondary school. Exposure to universities and career pathways at this stage plays an important role in helping young people set meaningful goals and prepare for successful transitions into higher education.
